This page will inform you about the themes which will be covered in our whole school assemblies this coming year. Our assemblies are underpinned by the 5 British Values however, where possible, we celebrate special events from many different faiths. Our assemblies also cover key dates in the calendar such as St George's Day, Remembrance Day and the Queen's Birthday(s).
We have weekly visits from Hope Hall who deliver assemblies in Foundation Stage and leaders from the Foundry Church in Dallam also join us and lead assemblies throughout the year.
If you would like to know more about how we plan our themes or if you think you could help us deliver any of our assemblies, please contact the school office and ask for Mrs Hopson.

Gathered together for our Diwali celebration.
Occasionally we have special visitors into school to deliver an assembly - these can be around themes such as road safety, fire safety/bonfire night, community events and local clubs for children. Quite often our children lead assemblies.
Aspirations week - KS2 talk from a Fireman
The ECO team, School Council and Sports Crew have all presented assemblies which really promote the importance of the child's voice in our school.
Every Friday we have 'Achievement Assembly' where we celebrate the good work of children throughout the school. Two children are chosen from each class to come up and receive a special certificate and sticker - they also go into the weekly prize draw! Midday Assistants also give out 1 special certificate per week which recognises qualities such as good manners, good behaviour, playing nicely and being kind and helpful.
We also join together as a school to celebrate good attendance, the child of the term, the sharing of CLASP awards and school productions. More information can be found out about these as you browse our website.
