This week the children have been thinking about mental health and well-being, and the importance of understanding how you can help and support yourself and others.
There have been a range of activities going on including yoga, mindfulness techniques, philosophy for children sessions (P4C) and relaxing arts and crafts.
The children have also learnt about the important role physical activity can play in feeling well in your body and your mind. They have joined in with our new Born To Move sessions and we have also had a visit from the Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Team from Evans House. They talked to the children about bullying and how to defend yourself from the potential effects both physically and mentally. The children really enjoyed this session and it reinforced everything we teach the children about keeping themselves safe.
