Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

SEND Vision

At Bewsey Lodge Primary School, we recognise that each child has a variety of abilities and that children with SEND will require additional support, over and above the usual differentiated activities to enable them to access a broad and balanced curriculum, both in our mainstream school and our Designated Provision Units.

We are committed to the inclusion of all children, believing that all class teachers are teachers of SEND, and ensure that we meet our responsibility by following the statutory requirements in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Code of Practice 0-25 (July 2014).

We believe every child should have the opportunity to participate to the best of their ability and be integrated into the everyday life of the school. All children at our school are valued and respected and we respond with sensitivity to their individual needs.

My name is Mrs Bailey and I am the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENDCO) at Bewsey Lodge Primary School. I have completed The National Award for SEN Co-ordination.

My support SENDCO is Mrs Stringer, who is also the DP Manager and a Specialist Leader in Education in SEND provision for the Warrington Teacher Alliance.

Mr Wheeler is the Speech and Language Co-ordinator and our SEND Governor is TBC.

We can be contacted via the school office on 01925 632 730.
