Spanish Language & Culture

During this CLASP subject, we learn all about the culture of Spain. We look at three key areas of Spanish culture, Art, Festivals and Food. Having a Spanish native speaker deliver these lessons provides authenticity to these sessions.

This term’s focus has been traditional stories. We have shared some traditional Spanish stories and also performed a spoken piece in Spanish from the book, ‘Not now Bernard!’ With “Ahora no, Bernardo” we learnt new vocabulary related to family members and the importance of listening to other people’s opinions. We also did a role play! (Video soon)

We read “el monstruo de colores” where we talked about different feelings we can have. and reading “Pinta ratones”, we learnt about where colours come from.
