Welcome to Little Links

Welcome to Little Links Connect Club. We are pleased to provide an out of school childcare link for parents of children attending Bewsey Lodge Primary School. We aim to deliver a high class professional service to ensure each child is kept safe, secure and happy while attending the club. We will provide an enabling environment to support every child’s learning and development through play and planned activities. Our resources will be rotated every day. Staff will respect children’s choices with child led play being foremost to adult led activities.

For children up to the age of 5 years the club has a legal responsibility to complement the learning and development requirements of the EYFS in line with schools planning, and must meet the welfare regulations of the new statutory framework of the EYFS.

The daily routine of the breakfast session will be: parents to enter the premises with their child to be signed in by a member of staff. A range of healthy breakfast options are available together with a drink. Several play resources will be available for children to play before being accompanied by a staff member to their classroom at 8.40am.

After school sessions will be: Foundation and KS1 children being collected from their classrooms by a staff member to bring them into the club via the internal corridor in school. KS2 children are allowed to make their own way in via this corridor. Children sign themselves in, etc, indoor and outdoor activities, toilet, hand-washing/gel and then a light snack will be offered together with a drink of juice or water. Fresh drinking water is available for children to help themselves to.

Parents will enter the premises to collect and a member of staff will sign out their child/ren before
