CLASP - Creative Learning Art Sports Performance

The children in our school love CLASP sessions which take place on either Thursday or Friday each week for children in Years 3 - Year 6. Each class is split in half so the groups are always nice and small. The children develop skills in more depth each half term and often learn skills which you wouldn’t normally see as part of primary curriuculum offer.

This year, sessions include: Art & Design, Cooking, Sewing & Textiles, Forest School, First Aid, Spanish, Construction, Fitbox, Swimming, Flute Lessons, Brazilian and Sport.

Teachers and children alike love these enrichment sessions for many reasons:

*They build self esteem and confidence;

*Small groups mean that children have more adult time and guidance in developing their skills;

*It gives the opportunity to study courses beyond the requirements of the national curriculum;

*They promote enquiry based learning, exploration and resilience.
