Subject Teams

At Bewsey Lodge, each subject is part of a team led by both teachers and children, working together to make sure the subject is the best it can be. We look at books to check that lesson outcomes match the planned curriculum and that standards of handwriting and presentation are high. In our meetings we come up with ways to make the subject exciting e.g. competitions, themed days and quizes and we also make sure every class enjoys at least one out-of-school experience to enhance their learning. We have to apply for the role of subject leader and explain why we are passionate about the subject and what qualities we think we have that would make a good leader.
