CLASP - Creative Learning Art Sports Performance

CLASP is unique to our school and the children absolutely love these sessions! They take place on a Thursday or Friday afternoon in KS2, with each class being split in half so the children always work in small groups. They develop different skills in more depth each half term, often learning new skills which wouldn’t normally be seen in a primary curriuculum offer.

This year, sessions include: textiles and art, cooking, forest school, first aid, construction, fitbox, flute lessons, computer-aided design and sport activities.

CLASP allows children to:

*build self esteem and confidence;

*have more adult time and guidance in developing their skills, within a small group

*the opportunity to learn new skills beyond the requirements of the national curriculum

*promote enquiry based learning, exploration and resilience
