Fun in the Forest School

A love for learning...

The Forest School is a huge strength in our curriculum. Sessions are run by two Level 3 Teaching Assistants who have spent many years delivering the program.

Children are encouraged to take chances, to be independent thinkers and learn through enquiry during the sessions which may include activities such as den building, orienteering and even cooking over the fire. The children love their forest school sessions and are happy to be outside whatever the weather!

Sessions incorporate many areas of the National Curriculum including Science, Geography,  Art and Design, Design and Technology, Speaking and Listening and Maths. Learning also inclues the important topic of conservation and understanding our local wildlife.

Look at our local fox captured on our wldlife camera - he’d been having a sniff around our hedgehog dens!
